K-12 School Program
A CHANCE TO DANCE
Memphis Jookin Urban Ballet offers residencies that are structured to implement and achieve the goals of the National Art Standards in the Arts for 6th–12th grade students. Support materials, including a welcome packet and Teachers’ Resource Guide, are included in most programs. These materials serve as an introduction to MJ, the accomplishments of MJ, and the artistry of MJ Urban Ballet Dance Theater, lessons, a dance glossary, and more. MJ residencies are customized to fit a school’s schedule and budgetary needs.
Private, independent schools ,community organizations should contact the staff of MJ. See our Education & Community Programs department below for individual residency options and costs.
Grades: 6th–12th grade
Location: Studio/gym/auditorium (Tours to your School)
How long: 8 weeks maximum
Dance class: 30 students maximum

A collaborative piece between MJ Urban Ballet Senior Company Dancers and a classically trained musician, "2 Men And A Violin" offers a dynamic fusion of contemporary & traditional musicality. With daring concepts, choreography, and moving music, the audience will be wowed!
